Shedeur Sanders had the opportunity to fulfill his dream of starting in an NFL game after waiting 11 weeks in 2025, and he made the most of it as the Browns secured a 24-10 win against the Las Vegas Raiders.
The Shedeur Sanders vs Dillon Gabriel argument has been a thing since the start of the season, as many fans and analysts believed the ex-Colorado star should’ve gotten some opportunities way before week 12; however, that wasn’t the case, with him not even getting first-team reps despite being the backup quarterback.
After the game, when Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski was asked about which quarterback is going to start for the game against the San Francisco 49ers, he declined to share the name, which didn’t sit well with some fans:
“He finally finds something with actual value in Sanders and decides to play coy. It’s unnecessary drama. The market already knows the answer; pretending you don’t just makes management look indecisive. Don’t overcomplicate an easy win.” one fan added.
“Stefanski out here treating the QB decision like it’s the final rose on The Bachelor. “Dorian, Jameis… or do we just run the wishbone with Chubb?” Browns fans: “Anyone but Deshaun 2.0.” another fan joked.
“Why does this shock you Adam the owner and coach clearly stated they didn’t want him to begin with.” another fan questioned.
“Bro cooked the Raiders and they’re still debating the starter?.” another fan commented.
“Hear me out browns fans Fire stefanski, Hire Brian Flores with a quality OC, Draft focus is Oline Safety and WR, give Shedeur the whole offseason to prepare as QB1. I’d bet yall to win the division.” another fan proposed.
“24-10 win but still suspense? Classic Browns.” another fan added.
After today’s 24-10 win over the Raiders, Browns HC Kevin Stefanski declined to name a starting QB for next week’s game vs. the 49ers.

Shedeur Sanders’ Mom Pilar Sends Exciting Message After Raiders Win
Shedeur Sanders’ mother, Pilar Sanders, has been a constant support for his son throughout his football journey, and now that it was time for him to make his first NFL start, she couldn’t be prouder.
Pilar shared various stories hyping her son up before the game and made a heartwarming post after the game, affirming her son’s thoughts over what’s next to come.
In a post game interview, Shedeur was seen getting excited over his performance and said he was able to pull of such a thrilling win after just one week of practice, imagine how he would be if he practiced throughout the offseason next time, which was seemingly a dig at Kevin Stefanski and Co. as he didn’t give Shedeur any first team reps before this week.
Pilar wholeheartedly supported Shedeur’s thought and said, “Yes SON! Everyone who supports you, WE CAN IMAGINE you getting more than ONE WEEK of practice to prep for an NFL GAME! Wow that’s serious! Moving forward,….WE LOVE TO WIN!.” Pilar wrote.
The Browns will play the 49ers at Huntington Field on Sunday.
