The SEC welcomes in two new schools in 2024 as Texas and Oklahoma join the picture. Taking a look at the Kentucky 2024 football schedule is indicative of just how high the bar could be for head coach Mark Stoops’ unit.

Where do the Wildcats have to travel and who comes to Lexington in 2024?

    Kentucky 2024 Football Schedule

Kentucky’s 2024 schedule looks a bit tough on the surface. The non-conference games should set them up pretty nicely for a tough SEC slate but don’t overlook the Ohio Bobcats. They’ll be breaking in a ton of new players, but Ohio has turned into a perennial MAC power and is not to be overlooked after defeating Iowa State in 2023.

Murray State is sandwiched in between their final SEC game and the battle for the Governor’s Cup with Louisville, rounding out their non-conference schedule.

Making the trek to Lexington are Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina, and Vanderbilt, not an easy stretch of home games by any sense of the word.

But their road trips may be more intriguing and even more difficult.

They head to Austin to take on new-conference foe Texas while making road trips to Tennessee and Ole Miss as well. A rivalry game in Gainesville also comes calling as Kentucky will travel to the Swamp in the midst of all of this.

Mark Stoops is back, but it’ll be a tough road in 2024.

For the first time since 1991, the SEC will not feature divisions in the conference. The top two teams will square off at the end of the year in the SEC Championship Game to culminate the season. With Oklahoma and Texas in the conference this season, the 2024 campaign truly means more.
