Kalen DeBoer’s daughters, Alexis and Avery, celebrated a special member of their family on Tuesday. Alexis and Avery made concurrent posts regarding their furry companion, who turned nine recently.
Alexis posted a black and white photo of their white Goldendoodle and suggested in the overlay text that it was the furry companion’s 9th birthday.

Avery also posted a collage of their dog in different settings, like inside a car, in the living room and relaxing on the carpet.
“Happy birthday to my best friend,” she wrote.

Kalen DeBoer and his wife, Nicole, share two daughters. The older daughter is Alexis DeBoer, who plays college softball for the Washington Huskies. His younger daughter is named Avery DeBoer.

Kalen DeBoer Express Pride Over Alexis College Softball Career
Back in May, Kalen DeBoer appeared on “The Next Round” podcast, where he talked about Alexis’ college softball career with the Washington Huskies, a place where DeBoer was the head coach of the football program before succeeding Nick Saban in Alabama last season.
“Yeah, I’m really proud of her,” DeBoer said. “She’s making a name for herself and I’ve always believed she had it in her. It happened even quicker than I thought. She got the opportunities and took advantage of them. … I’m a proud dad, that’s for sure.”
These words of pride from DeBoer came a week after Alexis was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year. She became the first Huskies player since 2016 to be honored for this. Apart from that, she also found her name in the All-Big Ten First Team and All-Freshman Team.
Alexis DeBoer was only a 6-year-old kindergartner when she started playing youth softball in Carbondale, Illinois. At the time, the current Alabama head coach was the offensive coordinator at Southern Illinois.
Kalen DeBoer’s wife, Nicole, was the first one to witness Alexis’ potential in the sport when their daughter hit a ball over the outfield fence during a spring game.
“My first thought was, ‘OK, maybe we have something here,’ but the little turkey hit my car,” Nicole said.
From this moment to having a standout season this year, Alexis chose to give credit to his team. She said:
“Honestly, it’s about my teammates and coaches and all their support in helping me transition to college and knowing they’re going to have my back no matter how I do on the field.”
Kalen DeBoer was made aware of this response, and he hilariously pointed out that even he likes to keep individual achievements at bay and talk about the team.
