IN PICS: Chargers QB Justin Herbert All Smiles In Outing With Rumored Girlfriend Madison Beer

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was seen hanging out with Grammy Award-nominated singer Madison Beer. According to the publication, the pair was seen hanging out and acting quite friendly with one another at a friend’s house in Redondo Beach, California, on Sunday night, as per TMZ.

This is not the first time the pair has been seen together, as a couple of weeks back, Herbert was seen spending time with Beer on the set of her latest music video. However, neither side has confirmed nor denied that the encounters are of a romantic nature.

Beer has been nominated for the Grammys twice already, in 2024 for Best Immersive Audio Album for her album “Silence Between Songs” and in 2025 for Best Dance Pop Recording for her song “Make You Mine”.

Herbert is about to enter his sixth season in the NFL with the Chargers. In 2020, he was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and in 2021, he earned a Pro Bowl selection, but since then, he has won no major accolades. He was the sixth overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, after playing for Oregon between 2016 and 2019.

Justin Herbert on how he came to love chess

Besides hanging out with Madison Beer recently, Justin Herbert has been seen with European chess champion Anna Cramling on her YouTube channel. He revealed a unique hobby of his: chess. When asked how he came to be interested in his game, the quarterback said:

“We went on a team trip to Carolina, and we played there and stayed there for a week, and we had a bunch of board games. And one of our players, Rashawn Slater,” Herbert said, “we were playing … and he beat me really badly.”

Other Chargers players have told members of the media that now, Herbert is the team’s best chess player. Elite athletes are competitive by nature, but who would have thought that one of them would be competitive enough to learn high-level chess out of spite?

The Chargers will start their 2025 season at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 5th at 8:00 p.m. ET.
