Ohio State QB Julian Sayin’s Explosive Arm and High Potential Make Him a Lock for QB1

According to reports, Sayin is believed to have wrapped up the Ohio State quarterback battle this offseason already. His arm strength is very notable and has more than grabbed the attention of Ohio State coaches and NFL scouts. Scouts have compared the Alabama transfer to other great college quarterbacks such as Bryce Young, Drew Brees, and Justin Fields.

In fact, some believe he has a higher ceiling than that of Field, who guided the Buckeyes to multiple College Football Playoff appearances in his college career. If that is the kind of quarterback that head coach Ryan Day is getting, the Buckeyes have a chance to repeat as national champions.

    Ohio State’s 2025 Schedule

The Buckeyes’ schedule is set up interestingly this fall. They will open the season against quarterback Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns at home, having beaten them in the College Football Playoff at the end of last season.

For the first time in nearly two decades, Ohio State will have to travel to Seattle to face the Washington Huskies in late September. They will also have to face Illinois on the road, which could be challenging considering the Illini won 10 games a season ago.

A week after facing Illinois on the road, they will have to travel to Madison to face the Wisconsin Badgers. Of course, rivalries with the Penn State Nittany Lions and Michigan Wolverines are also looming.

The Nittany Lions made it to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff last season, and the Wolverines have beaten the Buckeyes four straight years. However, it is hard enough for teams to repeat as national champions in this age of college football, mainly because there is so much changeover with rosters.

But Ohio State has a tough schedule ahead. The good news for the fans of that team from Columbus is that Day has never had a losing team, which likely isn’t set to change anytime soon.
