Joy Taylor Breaks Silence Reveals Emotional Toll Of Getting Fired After Sexual Misconduct Controversy at FS1

During a conversation with Cam Newton, Taylor Joy reflected on the emotional toll of being fired and how her FS1 show was ultimately canceled amidst sexual harassment allegations. Fox Sports declined to renew her contract in July of 2025, and that meant the end of “Speak.”

“There were some murmurs, some conversations about some changes coming to the network. So, it didn’t come as a total surprise. Um, obviously, it was pretty sweeping changes. Um, our show being cancelled and then the two morning shows as well, but that is the business,” she said. (3:34).

A lawsuit that was filed in January 2025 by ex-Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji created more complications for Taylor’s position at the network. The lawsuit had serious claims against Taylor regarding her behavior and treatment of staff.

According to court documents, Faraji alleged that Taylor told her to “get over it” upon hearing that Faraji had reported being groped at Taylor’s birthday party in 2017. The lawsuit also alleged that Taylor made fun of Faraji’s accent, and complained that Faraji would hum, which is a coping mechanism for her diagnosed PTSD.

The former Fox Sports personality was also candid about her relationship red flags during a conversation with Cam Newton. Taylor was direct about how a potential partner speaking on their exes definitely matters a lot.

“How you speak about your exes is important to me. Like, I don’t need to know your whole dating history in the first two days that I know you, and I don’t want to hear about how crazy she is and all like that,” she stated (2:03:34).

“No, you should have respect for even the people that did you wrong because people have done horrible things to me,” Taylor further elaborated (2:03:51).

The media figure stressed that even when someone wrongs you, there is still an appropriate way to talk about former relationships.

“There’s a way that you speak about people that you were intimate with that I am very judgy about,” she admitted.

Taylor also questioned how others view people once chosen to be engaged with, and even if they’ve done terrible things, that information is shouldn’t be shared and emphasized that such information should be earned.

In addition, Taylor also said she avoids voicing her previous public relationships online, which likely informs her current way of dating.

Joy Taylor’s Departure Marks The End Of Era At Fox Sports

Joy Taylor’s remarks come during a massive transitional time in her life. The cancellation of her contract affected a total of three programs and represented a fundamental shift to Fox Sports’ programming strategy.

Since then, Taylor has transitioned to creating podcasts and other content for numerous platforms, including the continuing “Two Personal” show.
