The Bill Belichick experiment over at North Carolina may soon come to an end, as the six-time Super Bowl winner has had a disappointing first season as a college coach despite much success in the pros. This has all been overshadowed, however, by the off-field drama surrounding him and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
To make things even more complicated, NFL insider Josina Anderson has reported that there is still a lot of interest in various NFL teams to hire Belichick and have been talking to him behind the scenes. This means that if things still do not work out for the coach over at UNC, he may just go back to the NFL.
NEW: I’m told “at least two NFL teams” are still* expected to have interest in talking to Bill Belichick, behind-the-scenes* at the very least, about head coach jobs this Carousel season, per a league source.

This report certainly raised some eyebrows among fans, many of whom are already urging UNC to cut its losses and let Bill Belichick go.
“No team is willing to deal with Jourdan Hudson at practice and walking on the sidelines at every game . Let Bill go. Cut your losses,” said one fan.
“Frankly I cannot imagine why an NFL team in 2025 would pursue Bill Belichik. He’s not bringing along late-2010s Tom Brady.” another person replied.
“I still think he’d be good as a coach. They need to keep him very far away from any general management duties,” one person pointed out.
“They better talk to his wife first. 😆,” one X user joked.
“Is the “one specific personnel change” him getting rid of Jordan ?” another commenter hoped.
“Raiders. Please take him off UNC’s hands 🙏,” said one Tar Heels fan.

Teams That Insider Was Talking About That Are Possibly Interested In Bill Belichick
While Anderson did not mention any specific teams, she mentioned that two teams were talking with him already. Currently, there are two teams without a head coach right now, as these teams have fired them after a disappointing season, and maybe looking to Belichick to turn things around despite his disappointing drama-filled season at UNC.
These teams are the New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans, which are still looking for a coach. Anderson also noted a third team could be in the equation, and Bleacher Report speculates it could be the Atlanta Falcons.
