“One of the Best” — Jordan Travis Gushes Over FSU Teammate Keon Coleman

Former Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jordan Travis took some time to tell the media all about receiver teammate Keon Coleman.

Keon Coleman is one of the more polarizing prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft. Some pundits have the Florida State wide receiver as high as the third or fourth-best WR prospect, while others view him as a more raw receiver in need of serious work.

For former teammate Jordan Travis though, Coleman’s talent is easily apparent, as he told media at the 2024 NFL Combine.

Jordan Travis Gushes Over FSU Teammate Keon Coleman: “One of the Best”

Things didn’t end the way quarterback Travis and Florida State wanted last season as their mecurial quarterback broke his leg and the Seminoles were left out of the College Football Playoff.

Despite the tough ending, Travis had plenty of positive things to say about Coleman, his former teammate and potential first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

“[Keon Coleman’s] one of the best players I’ve ever been around in my life,” Travis told the media Friday at the NFL Combine. “(He) makes my job easy. You just throw the ball up in the air, and he makes plays. He’s a quarterback’s best friend, so I’m thankful for Keon, for sure.”

Coleman and Travis were only teammates for one season as Coleman began his career at Michigan State in 2021. The six-foot-four, 210-pounder had a breakout sophomore season in 2022, catching 58 passes for 798 yards and seven touchdowns.

He transferred to Tallahassee in the 2023 offseason, teaming up with Travis last year. Coleman caught 50 passes for 658 yards, taking on a bigger red-zone presence with 11 touchdowns for the Seminoles.

Coleman has some of the best flashes of any receiver in the 2024 NFL Draft class, but he was inconsistent in college, as he was held under 50 yards six times last season.

Coleman will likely hear his name called on Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft. His athleticism should be on full display at the NFL Combine, where he could be one of the top performers. No matter the testing numbers, he’ll always be among the best in the game.
