Jordan Poyer Rejoins Bills, Rachel Bush Celebrates “One Last Ride”

Earlier in August, Jordan Poyer announced his return to the Buffalo Bills, where he has spent majority of his NFL career. Last season, after the Bills released him in March 2024 for salary cap savings, he signed a one-year deal with Miami. The Dolphins started him in 16 games, however, he failed to impress.

“Last year, put asterisks by it, it was a tough year all around,” Poyer said. “And I’m not going to throw anything … it was what went down over there. But at the same time, it was a hard year.

“And I keep the receipts, so I’m working hard. I’m coming in with my head down and just going to work, help the guys, be an extra set of eyes, an extra set of ears, and be of service. But don’t get me wrong, I’m also here to play football at a high level.”

With his career on the line, the Bills signed him to the practice squad. After this move, Rachel Bush expressed excitement, gratitude for the fan support and suggested this might be his “final chapter” in Buffalo. She wrote in her Instagram story:

“Home again home again – one last ride Buffalo, let’s go!”

However, Poyer has yet to play for the Bills in the 2025 season. He was only signed to the practice squad, and it seems the franchise is placing its trust in younger/healthier starters at safety (Taylor Rapp, Cole Bishop, etc.).
