The Cleveland Browns have been trying to get as many good quarterbacks as they can, with the team now having four very good quarterbacks vying for that QB1 position. However, there have been rumors that owner Jimmy Haslam wants more and is eyeing none other than current Texas QB Arch Manning. Given his strong connection to the Manning family, many were not surprised by this rumor.
According to ESPN Cleveland Browns reporter Daniel Oyefusi, the Browns owner was asked about the speculations on him already eyeing Arch Manning for the 2026 NFL draft, and Haslam denied that this is true.
“You’re in the business and you get paid by how many hits you get,” he said. “I think if you know the Manning family, I would bet — and I don’t know Arch at all — I bet he stays in college two more years.”

The Cleveland Browns have been unlucky with their quarterbacks over the last few years, though many believe this year might be different as four top quarterbacks in veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett and rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. The quarterback battle between the four is one of the biggest stories of the off-season, though the speculations on Haslam’s interest in the Manning scion are raising many eyebrows.
The Browns’ training camp is currently ongoing, with the two rookies so far impressing many, while veteran Kenny Pickett is still the favorite to begin the season as QB1. The team has the most unique QB situation in the league currently, especially given the Browns’ history with disappointing quarterbacks.

Arch Manning Rumors Also Included Retired Coaching Legend Nick Saban in the Mix

Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd is one of the people people that have been pushing this rumor, and he has often pointed out that Haslam is not only close to the Manning family, but also Nick Saban. Should the Browns land Manning, then Cowherd stated that he believes Saban mighty be attracted to come out of retirement and coach his friend’s NFL team.
“Jimmy leans heavily on the Manning family,” Cowherd said. “Saban is incredibly close to not only Haslam, but also the Manning family. If Saban can land a top quarterback, he would take a phone call for the NFL.”
Despite this, these are still rumors, and for now, Haslam is vehemently denying them.
