Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Jeremiah Smith is calling on a five-star recruit from high school to join them in their program when he eventually pursues college football. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. uploaded a post through his X/Twitter account that confirms that he has not decided yet on where to go after he wraps up his stellar high school football tenure.
This prompted Smith to reply to Henry Jr. by reposting his post on his own X/Twitter page with a three-word caption and emoji. The message that the Miami Gardens, Florida native is presumably to lure in Henry Jr. and plead with him to join him and the rest of coach Ryan Day’s team. Henry Jr. is concluding his senior year of football at Mater Dei and is set to play out his freshman year come 2026.

Perhaps Henry Jr. is getting offers from everywhere, as he is still undecided on where he will sign, evidenced by his recent social media post. As it stands, the Santa Ana, California native, according to 247 Sports, is currently listed as the No. 10 nationally-ranked prospect in the high school class of 2026. Apart from the Buckeyes, he has received offers from the likes of the Akron Zips, Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn Tigers.
I have not signed yet. Still trying to weigh my options due to coaching changes I just want to make the right decision for my future.
Gods plan

Smith and Co. are now preparing for a matchup against the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday, Dec. 6, for the 2025 conference title.
