Jaxson Dart Misses Top 10 on Daniel Jeremiah’s Board, Still Projected to Giants in 2025 NFL Draft

Jaxson Dart had a big final season at Ole Miss in 2024, breaking the school’s all-time passing record and showing off his skills as both a passer and runner.

Dart also did well at the NFL Combine, showing off his arm strength, athletic ability, and smart decision-making. Some analysts now believe he could be picked as high as No. 3 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Teams that need a smart, tough QB who can lead and grow might see Dart as a great choice.

Daniel Jeremiah and Colin Cowherd Send Jaxson Dart at No. 34 in NFL Draft

NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah shared his evaluation of Jaxson Dart during an appearance on The Herd, comparing the quarterback’s growth to Jalen Hurts. “The way I would sell you on him… it reminds me a lot of Hurts,” Jeremiah said.

“Hurts got better every year… he’s a gym rat who’s obsessed with being good. All the intangible stuff’s off the charts—the toughness is there, the intelligence is there.”

Jeremiah placed Dart in the second-round range, around 34th overall on his draft board, and believes teams will be buying into his steady improvement.

Jeremiah also pointed out that the New York Giants could be a strong landing spot for Dart. “I look at, you know, the Giants are the team that I think make the most sense,” he said. “I could see Brian Daboll feeling like he’s a little bit better fit for that environment… in terms of the weather… the wind, all those things.”

While Jeremiah admitted he rated Shedeur Sanders slightly higher, he felt Dart’s physical style and intangibles might better fit New York’s tough conditions.
