Could Jaxson Dart Sneak Into the First Round of the 2025 NFL Draft? Daniel Jeremiah Thinks So
In recent months, Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart has emerged as a promising prospect for the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. As draft talks heat up, his name keeps coming up again and again, but no one seems sure where he’ll land.
Daniel Jeremiah recently discussed Dart’s situation on The Joel Klatt Show. He mentioned that some insiders predict only one quarterback will be picked in the first round, while others believe three could land in the top 10.
Jeremiah explained that the New York Giants need a quarterback. They might target Shedeur Sanders early, but if Sanders is picked by New Orleans or Pittsburgh, Dart could become an option for the Giants later in the round.
The analyst also brought up QB Derek Carr’s shoulder issues with the Saints. This could push New Orleans to select a quarterback at No. 9, which would impact the 21-year-old’s position in the draft.
Jeremiah even compared Dart’s growth to Jalen Hurts. He praised Jaxson’s resilience and said the young QB knows how to handle pressure.
“I do think it’s a coin flip of whether Jaxson Dart goes in the first round,” Jeremiah said. “The things I like about him, as you talk about him as a player, I made the comparison, which was a little unorthodox, but it reminded me of Jalen Hurts’ journey.”
