Jaxson Dart is regarded as a top-three quarterback prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft. During his time at Ole Miss, Dart threw for 10,617 yards and 72 touchdowns. He has a rocket arm and consistently shows composure under pressure.
Dart isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but plenty of quarterback-needy teams in the NFL could use his talent. Here are five franchises that make the most sense for Dart to land with on draft day.

5 Potential Landing Spots For Jaxson Dart
New York Giants
If you look at the types of quarterbacks Brian Daboll has had success with in the NFL, it’s guys with big arms, good mobility and toughness in the pocket. Dart fits that mold well, and while it’s unlikely the Giants take him at No. 3, he could be their pick in the second round.
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers could miss out on both Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders by the time their first-round pick at No. 21 comes around, but if Dart is still available, the fit in Pittsburgh makes a lot of sense. Not only could he mesh well with Mike Tomlin, but surrounding him with weapons like DK Metcalf and George Pickens could make his NFL transition much smoother.
Cleveland Browns
Much like the Giants, the Browns probably wouldn’t use their second overall pick on Dart. But if he’s still on the board in the second round, I think they would strongly consider him. Kevin Stefanski has had success with raw quarterback prospects in the past, like Baker Mayfield, and he could potentially mold Dart into a reliable NFL starter.
New York Jets
The Jets signed Justin Fields in free agency, but honestly, if they drafted Dart, he could immediately compete for the starting job. Dart brings tools to the table that Fields doesn’t, and long term, he could become a franchise quarterback for the Jets.

Los Angeles Rams
Sean McVay would have to be genuinely high on Dart to take him in the first round, but if he views the young signal-caller as a potential Matthew Stafford successor, it’s not out of the question. Dart would thrive in McVay’s scheme, and personally, I’d love to see that pairing.
