Shedeur Sanders is finally going to get the first start of his NFL career against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 12, after getting some snaps against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, as Dillon Gabriel got out of the game in the third quarter due to a potential concussion.
While the ex-Colorado star didn’t have the best game against the Ravens as he completed four of his 16 passes for 47 yards and secured one interception, while also getting sacked twice, with the game ending in a 22-16 defeat for the Browns.
Talking about the upcoming Raiders game, Shedeur Sanders said in a press conference on Wednesday:
“A lot. I would say the teammates are definitely a big portion of everything. But at the same time, they have their own jobs they have to do also. So I have to take that upon myself to know that I have the responsibility, you know, to bring this team a win on our side of the ball. So I got to do what’s necessary to do that.”
Jason Whitlock reacted to saying, “Let me translate for you: “The 2 victories we have had nothing to do with the previous quarterbacks. I can bring us an offensive win.” No coach or team operates on that logic. Shedeur’s attitude/mindset is a nightmare.”

Sanders further added that he is in a great place both mentally and emotionally, admitting the fact that he believes his life will always have adversity and things won’t always go as planned, hence, he is prepared for everything.

Deion Sanders Shares Plans To Watch Shedeur’s First NFL Start Live
While Deion Sanders was blunt enough to tell Shedeur he is not going to come watch his NFL games while he sits on the bench during the early weeks of his journey, things have changed now.
As Shedeur prepare to become the Browns’ 42nd quarterback in franchise history, Coach Prime was asked about his plans to go watch his son make his play during his debut start.
Coach Prime said that he hasn’t made the decision yet and is currently focused on the situation at Colorado.
“I’m not thinking about, although I just got off the phone with him (Shedeur) a minute ago. I’m really focused on what he have at hand.”
The Browns will face the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on Sunday, 24th November, 2025.
