“It’s Crashing and Burning”: Jason Whitlock Rips Deion Sanders Apart Over Colorado’s Devastating Run in 2025

Deion Sanders’ Colorado has been in a rut this season as the Buffaloes sit with an overall record of 3-6.

After two consecutive blowout losses against Utah and and Arizona, where they lost by 35+ points, many fans and analysts are questioning whether Coach Prime is the right person for the job, with his sons out of college and his best players Travis Hunter and Jimmy Horn Jr. migrating to the league.

As Deion Sanders makes major changes in the team to turn things around for the West Virginia game, like taking play calling duties away from Pat Shurmur and naming 5-star QB Julian Lewis, journalist Jason Whitlock shared his take on the current situation at Colorado, saying:

“They have surrendered was it 53 points uh two weeks ago to Utah and then turned back around and let Arizona put drop 52 on them this weekend. I think they scored what was it 53-7 against Utah and now 52-17 against Arizona. They lose. You know how hard it is to give up a 100 points in two weeks? Deion Sanders has done it.”

“And it’s because Deion Sanders isn’t all in. And this whole remaking of football that Deion was going to do and I’m going to sit at home and recruits are going to come to me because I’m the greatest and everybody wants to play for me. It’s crashing and burning. No one really cares,” he added.

Deion Sanders Takes the Blame for Massive Arizona Loss in Week 10

After the devastating loss last Saturday, Deion Sanders came to the podium for the post game press conference alone and said that nobody else from the team will be available for interviews as the loss was on him. He asked people to not attack the players and the coordinators.

Coach Prime admitted that the loss was a result of lack of execution and preparation. Talking about the players mentally checking out, he said he knows the players intimately and understands when players quit, which is not the case right now.

Talking about the criticism coming his way, he said he doesn’t give a “darn” about it.

“I’m telling you, it’s on me. Criticize me. I’ve been criticized when I came out the womb. The doctor didn’t even like it. I’m good, so it’s on me. I know what the situation is. I know what the problem is” Sanders said.
