Jamie Foxx, King Gillie and More Celebrities Send Love to $60M Worth Deion Sanders Over Intense Cancer Journey Recap

Last week, it was announced that Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders would hold a press conference on Monday with the team’s medical team. Although it was not said outright, most fans expected Coach Prime to give an update on his health after he had been absent from team duties for some of the summer because of an unspecified health issue.

That turned out to be the case as on Monday, Sanders, who is worth $60 million as per Celebrity Net Worth, revealed that he had been diagnosed with bladder cancer and underwent surgery to remove his bladder. Fortunately, he also revealed that the surgery was successful, and there have been no traces of cancer discovered since.

On Tuesday, Coach Prime posted a video on Instagram from May while he was undergoing treatment. In the video, he is speaking positively despite all the blood building up in a bag.

“God is what?” Deion Sanders asked? “Great,” the person holding the camera said. “Thank you,” Sanders responded.

Coach Prime then continued, showcasing his attitude.

“Do we ever complain? Do we ever have a pity party? We just keep moving. Because he has a purpose. God has a plan. I trust his purpose and I know his plan.”

Deion Sanders Did Not Tell Many People About the Severity of His Diagnosis

At the press conference on Monday, Deion Sanders revealed more about his diagnosis and how the past few months have been for him. He admitted that while his sons, Shilo and Shedeur Sanders, were aware of his health issue, he did not reveal to them the severity of it. He did not want them worrying about them, and instead wanted them to focus on their upcoming NFL careers.

There was speculation leading up to this press conference that Coach Prime could step down from his coaching duties because of his health. That did not turn out to be the case. Sanders will continue as the Colorado Buffaloes head coach this season.
