The Penn State program is one of the best in college football, thanks to the work done by head coach James Franklin and Co.
But, as Franklin recently noted, it is all about more than just one person.
James Franklin Praises Penn State’s Alignment
Franklin recently spoke with On3 about the program’s alignment from the administration down to the football team.
For the first time since the early 1980s, the Nittany Lions have won 10+ games in three consecutive seasons.
If Penn State’s appearance in the Semifinals of the College Football Playoff was any indication, it is one of the top programs in college football.
To do that, schools must have aligned ideals among the administration, the athletic department, and the coaching staff.
Then, the players can reap the benefits.
Penn State’s 2025 Schedule
After winning 13 games last season and coming very close to the national title game, Penn State will likely be very hungry this Fall.
With veteran quarterback Drew Allar and 1,000-yard running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen back for another year, this team is a true College Football Playoff contender.
Other than having to travel to Ohio State and Iowa while also hosting Oregon, Penn State should have a somewhat favorable schedule.
Combine that with the experience of the roster and the alignment between the administration and the coaches, and it looks like the sky can be the limit for the team from State College.
But they have to beat Ohio State.
Their rivals have had their number in almost every season of the Franklin era.
You have to be able to climb over every wall if you want to become a champion at the highest level.
With the Buckeyes being the national champions after defeating the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the final game of the college football season, they are the team to beat.
