‘Jamarcus Russell Dad Bod’ – QB Bryce Underwood’s Shirtless Camp Pic Triggers Wave of Trolls Despite Jacked Look

Quarterback Bryce Underwood was the No. 1-ranked recruit in the 2025 recruiting class. He had an interesting recruitment as he initially committed to the LSU Tigers before flipping his recruitment to Michigan in the fall. He is now expected to join the Wolverines and help them get back to the college football playoff after a disappointing 2024 season.

While there is a lot of excitement around Underwood, there are some fans who have been critical of his fitness. In response, a shirtless picture of Underwood in camp was posted on X by a fan account.

This led to a lot of fans reacting, including many who trolled Underwood for having a dad bod despite a clearly visible six pack.

“Jamarcus Russell dad bod BET,” one fan wrote.

“Looking fat and lazy!” one fan commented.

“Yeah, cause dudes coming out of high school are ripped to shreds LMAO these football programs know how to cut these guys up the 3 to 4 years they are there,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react in the comments.

“He has been lifting that NIL money while laughing at his haters,” one fan wrote.

“I will never f**king understand how that even became a thing bro lmao, freakish athlete and they said he’s the new J Russ,” one fan commented.

“He was obviously bulking. If these trolls left their moms basement they’d know that,” one fan added.

Bryce Underwood Is Set To Start for the Michigan Wolverines as a True Freshman in 2025

Heading into the 2025 season, it appears that Underwood is set to be the starter for the Michigan Wolverines despite being a true freshman. However, there is no guarantee he will retain that spot throughout the season if he struggles.

The Wolverines are not depending on Underwood being able to jump into college as a full-time starter immediately. They are hoping he can, but if he needs more time to develop, they have Mikey Keene as a replacement.

Keene was brought in as a transfer from Fresno State during the offseason. He is entering his final season of eligibility and would be a solid option if Underwood is not ready for the starting role. This past season, Keene completed 277 of 393 passing attempts for 2892 yards and 18 TDs. He started both of the past two seasons for the Fresno State Bulldogs.
