Jam Miller Status: What Happened to Alabama RB?

Miller started the season recovering from a collarbone injury he suffered during an August scrimmage. He was then forced to miss the first couple of games of the year to recover. Since his return, he has been excellent for the Crimson Tide. However, last week against Missouri, he suffered a concussion and was viewed as questionable for this week’s game against Tennessee.

Fortunately for the Crimson Tide, Miller was upgraded from questionable to probable on Thursday night on the injury report. He stayed probable on the injury report on Friday, and as a result, fans should be optimistic about him playing on Saturday.

Is Jam Miller Playing Against Tennessee?

It is not 100% confirmed that Jam Miller will play on Saturday. However, with a probable designation, it is extremely likely that the star running back will suit up for Alabama in its rivalry game against Tennessee.

Miller is one of the longest-tenured players on the Crimson Tide. He has been on the team since 2022, slowly growing into the star that he is today. In 2024, he had the best season of his career, rushing 145 times for 668 yards and seven TDs. This season, he is looking to have an even better season despite his early-season injury struggles.

Saturday’s game between Alabama and Tennessee could have huge implications on the SEC standings. Despite losing its season-opening game against Florida State, the Crimson Tide have bounced back, winning five straight games, including three straight over ranked opponents. Tennessee has also been good to start the year, but it is unproven against ranked competition.

A win for Alabama on Saturday would likely secure its spot near the top of the SEC standings as a true contender this season. Conversely, a loss for Tennessee could knock it out of playoff contention because of its 2-1 conference record.
