Jalon Daniels Will Be Ready for 2025
In a recent social media post, Daniels used one word to describe how he is feeling as he looks toward his final season in Lawrence after dealing with multiple injuries throughout his career:

The post essentially let the college football world know that he is prepared to show what he is capable of once again.
Daniels had a minor knee procedure this offseason to correct some issues and will likely be limited at Spring practice, but he should be fully ready to play this Fall.
The former All-Big 12 performer has helped the Jayhawks become competitive again during his career as he has guided them to a 13-11 record in his last 24 games started. He has thrown for over 5,000 yards and 37 touchdown passes over those 24 games.
However, he has dealt with back and shoulder injuries that have slowed his progress.
The Jayhawks’ 2025 Outlook
Head coach Lance Leipold has helped put the Jayhawks back on the map through his first four seasons on the job. He guided the team to multiple bowl appearances in 2022 and 2023 after the team had not made one since 2008.
The best season of his tenure came in 2023 when he guided the Jayhawks to a record of 9-4 overall and 5-4 in conference play. It was the team’s best record since 2007, the year that former head coach Mark Mangino led them to 12 wins and an Orange Bowl win.

Thanks to the play of players like Daniels and school legend Devin Neal, who is now headed to the NFL after a remarkable career as a running back, Leipold has been able to turn the ship around in Lawrence. Now, it will be up to him to guide the team back to its winning ways in 2025.
With Daniels likely to be fully healthy heading into what will be a key season for Kansas in a somewhat loaded Big 12 Conference, having a veteran signal-caller in the huddle could make Leipold’s job a little bit easier.
