Jalen Milroe’s time with the Alabama Crimson Tide was interesting. Being the Alabama quarterback is no easy task, but being under center the season after a legend departs makes it even more challenging. After a year of constant criticism, Milroe is excited about the next journey in his career.

Jalen Milroe Excited About NFL Combine Opportunity
At the 2025 NFL Combine, Milroe discussed his goals at the event and how it was a great opportunity for him.
Two of the things I heard the most this week are teams are worried about Shedeur Sanders’ baggage and were really impressed with Jalen Milroe’s interviews.

Milroe said, “It’s great being in front of these teams and being able to talk to them. It’s all about relationship number one and talking ball. I remember watching the combine. It’s not having a firsthand experience of what is, what all is involved during the week. You know, this is definitely a great week, for sure.”
Milroe backed up Heisman winner and 2023 No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young for two years before getting his chance at the starting job.
Struggling initially, Milroe was benched for Ty Simpson. However, after a quarterback battle in the following weeks, Milroe would win back the starting job.
The QB then led The Crimson Tide to a 12-1 record and finished the year with 23 touchdowns against six interceptions, 12 rushing touchdowns, and 2,718 total yards. His stellar performance in the SEC Championship helped Alabama clinch a College Football Playoff appearance.
Milroe’s challenges continued in 2024 after Nick Saban’s sudden and shocking retirement. Kalen DeBoer was brought in as head coach, and Nick Sheridan was the team’s new offensive coordinator.

The team struggled under new leadership, finishing with a 9-4 record.
Milroe had a career rushing year, accumulating 726 yards and 20 touchdowns, a school record. Yet, he went from 23 to 16 touchdowns passing and from six interceptions to 11.
