Former Texas Longhorns wide receiver Isaiah Bond declared for the 2025 NFL draft following his third college season. He played one year with the Longhorns after transferring from Alabama after the 2023 season. In 2024, he made 34 receptions for 540 yards and five TDs. Early in the offseason, there were some reports that Bond could go as early as the first round in the draft.
If he was not selected in the first round, it would have been surprising for him to fall out of the second. However, despite that, he went undrafted altogether. This was because of off-field issues. In April, Bond was arrested on an outstanding sexual assault warrant. NFL teams decided not to take a risk on drafting a player who was dealing with a criminal case.

What Did Isaiah Bond Do?
Bond was arrested in April on an outstanding warrant for a case of sexual assault. This came shortly before the draft, which caused NFL teams to question whether drafting him was a good idea. Despite his high pedigree as a player, he went undrafted in the 2025 NFL draft.
Bond actually made the decision to turn himself in following the sexual assault allegations. He posted the $25,000 bond afterwards and went on social media to declare that the accusation against him was false. He even filed a federal complaint against his accuser afterwards.
An email was sent to all 32 teams by agent Damien Butler, who represents #Texas WR Isaiah Bond. Bond self-surrendered on a sexual assault warrant, but now has filed a federal complaint against his accuser.

On Thursday, it was reported that Isiah Bond has been no-billed and will face no further criminal charges. District Attorney Greg Willis released a statement following the announcement.
“After reviewing all the evidence presented, a Collin County grand jury returned a ‘no bill’ in the sexual assault charge involving Isaiah Bond, meaning no indictment will be issued,” Willis said. “This concludes the criminal proceedings in this matter.”
Shortly after, Isiaah Bond announced on Instagram that he plans to sign with the Cleveland Browns. He indicated that he is determined to prove to the Browns that they are right for putting their trust in him.
