The 2025 NFL Draft is underway, and many teams have already selected their (hopefully) franchise players at their positions of need. A few wide receivers have been taken off the board, and debates have sparked on social media about who “Wide Receiver University” is. A wide receiver from the Ohio State Buckeyes has sparked the debate once again.

Fifth Ohio State WR in First Round in Last Four Drafts: Are the Buckeyes WRU?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected Emeka Egbuka, the fifth Buckeyes wide receiver in the first round in the last four drafts for the No. 19 pick. He joins an already great wide receiver position group, which includes future Hall-of-Famer Mike Evans. Egbuka joins Marvin Harrison Jr., Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Garrett Wilson, and Chris Olave.
The former five-star wide receiver was a standout for the Buckeyes, who is the all-time leading pass catcher for Ohio State. Egbuka finished the 2024 season with 81 catches for 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Buckeyes and made an impact to allow them to win the national championship against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Now the question is, Ohio State wide receiver U? Many social media people think differently.
One of the popular picks is the LSU Tigers. They may have a case. Justin Jefferson, Odell Beckham Jr., Ja’Marr Chase, and Jarvis Landry highlight the Tigers’ standout pass catchers in the NFL. The argument for LSU is the quality of receiver instead of quantity for the Buckeyes.
Jefferson is considered the best wide receiver in the NFL. Beckham Jr. has had some of the craziest moments. Chase is a two-time all-pro wide receiver and had over 1,700 yards last season. Landry has been one of the more consistent receivers for nearly six seasons.
However, the debate could go either way.

Ohio State will likely have another first-round wide receiver in the future, along with Jeremiah Smith, who looks like one of the best players in the college ranks.
Debates on social media will continue regardless of what happens in the future, and it will be fun to see who will be the next prospect that will be a part of it.
