The Oregon Ducks are set to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Capital One Orange Bowl on January 1 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. While the bowl matchup itself is highly anticipated, much of the attention surrounding Oregon has been on quarterback Dante Moore and the uncertainty surrounding his potential entry into the 2026 NFL Draft.
Speculation about Moore’s draft future has only been growing with a lot of drafts, especially after his projections named him as one of the top picks ahead of the draft. Despite the growing buzz, Moore made it clear during media day ahead of the Ducks’ quarterfinal clash against the Texas Tech Raiders that a final decision has not yet been reached.
“No decision,” Moore stated during media day.
Ahead of the Orange Bowl clash, Moore also discussed the key areas of focus for Oregon heading into the game against the Texas-based program.
“Yeah, the three biggest things, first is just ball security, the biggest thing, punching the ball out. They have great linebackers, great D-linemen, great secondary”, Moore noted.
“Another thing is run game, rushing yards, make sure we’re moving the ball down the field when it comes to run game, and keep getting 1st downs. Moving the ball down the field. Those are the three biggest things for us,” he further elaborated.
Moore began his career at UCLA, where he started five games after subsequently being benched later in the season. Moore then transferred to Oregon in 2024 and has been delivering good performances for them ever since. The 2025 season with the Oregon-based side saw him post a 72.4%, averaging 9.0 yards per attempt, whilst also compiling a total of 28 touchdowns throughout the campaign.

Top 3 Potential Landing Spots for Dante Moore
As of now, there is still no concrete answer regarding his future, even as numerous draft projections have already linked him to potential NFL teams. If Moore decides to be a part of the 2026 NFL draft, here are three teams that could be lining up for the quarterback.
1. New York Jets
After an abysmal 3-13 record in the 2025 NFL season, the Jets would like a complete overhaul, one that could begin with the signing of Dante Moore. The Jets also appear in several draft projections as a team willing to grab Moore early, considering they also have two first-round and second-round picks.
2. Las Vegas Raiders
Another NFL team that would make significant changes in its roster ahead of the 2026 season would be the Raiders. The Las Vegas-based side, after an abysmal 2-14 record this season, could definitely look at Moore as a viable QB, with draft projections too leaning towards the Raiders potentially getting ahold of Moore, provided he enters the draft.
3. New York Giants
With Jaxson Dart’s emergence as the Giants’ no. 1 quarterback ahead of the likes of Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson, the Giants could also look at Dante Moore as a potential name to further strengthen their QB roster.
