Bill Belichick, arguably one of the greatest football coaches of all time, got off to a rocky start to his new tenure with the North Carolina Tar Heels. A highly awaited event that brought several stars to Chapel Hill ended in a humiliating loss for the UNC.
The Tar Heels fell 14-48 to the TCU Horned Frogs. After the loss, social media was expected to do its usual routine of trolling the coach and the players, but a member of the media took it too far by involving Belichick’s girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, in the mix.
Brett McMurphy, a football insider for On3 Sports, made a few comments that didn’t sit well with fans.
“Weird stat: In history of college football, Super Bowl champion coaches w/24-year old girlfriends have never won any games as a college head coach,” he wrote.

“Ironically, UNC back-up QB Max Johnson is 24 years old, the same age as Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend,” McMurphy wrote in another post.

Belichick, 73, has been dating Jordon Hudson, 24, for a while. The age gap between them often becomes the butt of jokes on the internet. However, whatever happens in Belichick’s professional pursuits shouldn’t concern his personal life.
“What Belichick is doing in his personal life may be creepy but that is an unnecessary cheap shot,” a fan wrote.
“That’s a very odd tweet, Brett,” another commented.
“Dude you’re not funny…” a fan posted.
“Go ahead, pile on one of the greatest football coaches ever. He will succeed at North Carolina,” a fan wrote.
“Why are you hating on Bill?” another commented.
“Jealous much? I mean, you really are obsessed with another man’s 24 yo girlfriend,” a fan wrote.

Bill Belichick’s UNC Debut Made ESPN Change Its Broadcasting Routine
Bill Belichick’s team started strong, leveling the first quarter 7-7. After that, they had no answer to the Horned Frogs’ game plan. In the next three quarters, they got outscored 7-41. Going into the fourth quarter, all hope was lost for Belichick’s team.
The game got so one-sided at one point that Kirk Herbstreit made an unexpected change in the ESPN broadcasting booth. With nearly two minutes to go in the game, Herbstreit’s dog entered the booth.
Seemingly bored and having a clear idea of where the game was going to end, Herbstreit took his headset off and put it on his dog.
“You call the rest of the last two minutes, it’s all you kid,” he told his dog.

Viewers were treated to the dog’s loud panting toward the end of the game. It’s safe to assume, no one had any issue with it.
