7- Round Indianapolis Colts Mock Draft

The Colts enter the 2025 NFL Draft with seven selections, one in each round. It should present an opportunity for Indianapolis to invest in their positions of need early in the draft with plenty of talent available.

Tight end is a massive need for the Colts, who desperately need to give quarterback Anthony Richardson another receiving weapon. Elsewhere, the defense needs to improve, particularly in the secondary, where safety remains an immediate concern.

Round 1, Pick 14: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State

Tyler Warren is one of the elite offensive weapons in this class and is viewed as a top 10 overall prospect by many analysts. The 6’5”, 256-pound tight end is the exact weapon that the Colts need to gift Richardson if they are to find out if he is their future.

The Penn State weapon has exceptional route running, elusive after-catch ability, and dynamic athleticism. Furthermore, Warren is a willing blocker.

Round 2, Pick 45: Xavier Watts, S, Notre Dame

Indianapolis needs to make it a priority to improve the safety position. It is critical to the function of Lou Anarumo’s defense. Xavier Watts is a versatile safety who can equally make plays in the box and play deep.

In coverage, the Notre Dame defensive back has ball-hawking tendencies and has trust in his instincts to create good angles and opportunities to take the ball away. Showcased by his 13 interceptions in the last two seasons. Meanwhile, against the run, Watts is an aggressive tackler who triggers downhill quickly.

Round 3, Pick 80: Bradyn Swinson, EDGE, LSU

It has taken Brady Swinson a while to find his feet at the college level, but this past season, the LSU Tigers’ pass rusher was incredibly productive.

With 8.5 sacks and 13 tackles for a loss, the 6’4” 255-pound edge rusher boasts a deep arsenal of pass rush moves, impressive power, and quick movement to sufficiently use his length and natural speed to get after the passer.

Round 4, Pick 116: Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville

Quincy Riley is a twitchy athlete who presents a solid framework to be an NFL starter. At 6’0 and 195 pounds, the Louisville Cardinal is a fluid mover who plays with rhythm, timing, and awareness. His ball skills allow him to attack the ball at the catch point, while his initial quickness enables him to jump routes quickly.

Round 5, Pick 152: Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee

Dylan Sampson is an athletic running back who plays with physicality and intentional violence. The Tennessee rusher has quicker-than-fast burst and has the long speed to go through the gears and layer his speed adjustments.

His explosive movements and power allow him to compete after the catch and as a receiver, which will boost his ability to be a starting back in a rotational system.

Round 6, Pick 191: Xavier Truss, OL, Georgia

At 6’7” and 309 pounds, Xavier Truss is a tall, thick-framed offensive lineman who combines athleticism and strength to win against defenders. His smooth movement skills, grippy hands, and length generate leverage in both run and passing situations, although his height sacrifices a stout anchor against power rushers.

A versatile weapon who could play inside or out, Truss projects as a Day 3 selection due to his high pad level and inconsistent ability to counter rushers, leading to a high penalty counter with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Round 7, Pick 234: Patrick Jenkins, DT, Tulane

With 13 sacks, 28 tackles for a loss, and 107 tackles in three seasons, Patrick Jenkins has proven ability to create penetration.
