Washington State and Utah State both did better than many expected this year, and now they are in the postseason for the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. It will be held at the Albertsons Stadium in Boise, Idaho, with this being the Cougars’ first Bowl game since they played in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio back in 2018.
The 7-6 Washington State Cougars are coming in with a lot of players opting to enter the transfer portal, as well as some coaching staff changes and a few injuries. Meanwhile, the 6-6 Utah State Aggies do not have as much opt-outs and injuries as their Famous Idaho Potato Bowl opponents.

The Cougars has a ton of players entering the transfer portal heading into the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, and they will also not be with head coach Jimmy Roberts, who has already left for Iowa State. Instead, defensive coordinator Jesse Bobbit, who has stayed behind to coach the team, will be acting as interim head coach.

Utah State, on the other hand, will be coming into the game a lot healthier and with not much players transferring. Their coaching staff will be intact too.
How To Watch The Famous Idaho Potato Bowl
The game will take place at the Albertsons Stadium in Boise at 12 noon local time, 11:00 AM PST. ESPN will be the network airing and streaming the game, with Chuckie Kempf and Darius Walker calling the game live.
Utah State is coming in as the -1.5 favorites, with the over/ under of 49.5.
