When the Florida State Seminoles landed five-star wide receiver Hykeem Williams in the transfer portal, UCF and college football writer for Orlando Sentinel & Tribune Matt Murschel called him their “crown jewel.”
Now, after two years in Tallahassee, which netted 21 receptions, 267 yards, and two touchdowns, the 6’2”, 215-pounder is in the transfer portal, searching for a new home.

Top Transfer Portal Landing Spots for Hykeem Williams
Colorado
Head coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes were the first team to host Williams when he hit the portal. Coach Prime lost four big-time wide receivers to the NFL this offseason in Travis Hunter, LaJohntay Wester, Jimmy Horn Jr., and Will Sheppard. The Buffs have already landed two receivers in Tulsa’s Joseph Williams and Campbell’s Sincere Brown, but at one of the game’s premier positions, more talent never hurts.
Pittsburgh
The Panthers were among the three teams Williams visited, his second visit to Pittsburgh after making an official visit while on his original recruiting journey. The Panthers, who lost receivers Andy Jean and Cameron Monteiro to the transfer portal, roster receiver Deuce Spann, a two-year teammate of Williams with the Seminoles.
Syracuse
The Orange, who lost Trebor Pena and Zeed Haynes in the spring portal, were the third team Williams visited in April. After recruiting Williams out of high school, Syracuse is again in the running for the talented receiver, hoping to provide depth to an already-talented receiver room.
Miami
While Williams will no longer visit with the Hurricanes, Miami will still hold out hope to see the talented receiver rock the green and orange. But with the lack of a visit, the odds seem low for Williams to head to “The U.”

Georgia
The Bulldogs — who hosted Williams for an official visit out of high school — haven’t made any noise in the sweepstakes. However, given their prior connection to the talented wide receiver, they could swoop in as an unexpected suitor.
