Also on his Instagram story, he shared a picture of a Tigers shirt and a backpack, also by Nike. The caption of the original post read:
“It’s a new day on The Plains!! Excited about our new partnership with @Nike. #WarEagle”
Local Auburn outlet, the “Auburn Report”, also shared what seem like promotional pictures of the new partnership. The pictures included the following caption:
“Welcome to the new era”

Hugh Freeze has been under fire lately, as AL.com has reported that he’s the coach who has spent the most time playing golf in 2025. This comes as the Tigers have slipped in the recruitment game, with a trio of blue-chip recruits de-committing over the last three weeks.
Hugh Freeze’s Auburn is at the top of the ‘Panic Index’
In 2024, the Auburn Tigers had one of the strongest recruiting classes in the nation. This gave fans hope that things are set to improve in the years ahead, after three mediocre seasons under Freeze’s leadership.
However, now things are looking down again as the Tigers have fallen in the recruiting game, allegedly due to the coach’s focus on his golf. In the CBS Sports’ Panic Index, Auburn was given a score of four, which is the highest on the ranking.
The outlet mentions the de-commitment from four-star prospects, the fact that Auburn ranks behind Oregon State and Houston, and the unlikeliness of the program getting hold of a top-10 Alabama prospect before the start of the season as reasons for the score. The only positive the program has shown is flipping four-star Peyton Falzone from Penn State to Auburn.
The first person who knows the make-or-break character of the 2025 season for the Tigers is Hugh Freeze. In early June, Freeze gave an interview to ESPN, and told that he knows that he will need to bring a winning record in 2025, or his time at Auburn will likely be at an end.
