The Auburn Tigers are in desperate need of a big season, and head coach Hugh Freeze believes that transfer quarterback Jackson Arnold could be the man to lead them to that.
Both Arnold and Freeze seemingly need each other to get to where they want to go.

Hugh Freeze Names Key Trait in Jackson Arnold That’s Making Him a Winning QB for Auburn
Freeze spoke recently about the skillset of Arnold and why he is very high on him entering the season (via AU Family).
“He’s got the arm talent, he’s got the legs, he’s got the football IQ, and I think he just needs confidence, and I think that confidence grew this spring,” Freeze said.
The former Gatorade Player of the Year will be looking to add an exciting chapter to his college career down at Auburn.
After gaining valuable reps, both at Oklahoma last year and at Auburn this offseason, he could be primed for a big year in 2025.
Arnold Looking to Generate Success Under Freeze
In Norman last year, Arnold threw for over 1,400 yards and 12 touchdowns, along with just three interceptions.
He recorded 444 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, which is a very underrated part of his game.
It is time to see what he can with a full season of starting under his belt. Freeze has coached notable college quarterbacks such as Malik Willis, Chad Kelly, and Bo Wallace.
He knows how to mold quality signal-callers at the college level into longtime, talented college starters. In two seasons under Freeze, veteran quarterback Peyton Thorne threw 37 touchdowns and 19 interceptions. He also rushed for over 800 yards and five scores on the ground.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, they went just 10-12 in games that Thorne started. It will be up to Arnold to change those outcomes and make the Tigers contenders in the SEC. While it isn’t all up to him, if he intends to stay for that long, he will be key to helping save Freeze’s job over the next few years.
The Tigers must win more than six games if Freeze wants a future at the school.
