The Miami Hurricanes were able to land veteran college quarterback Carson Beck in the transfer portal this offseason. Now, they have a chance to contend in the ACC and for the College Football Playoff.

Mario Cristobal Explains What Lured Carson Back to Miami and Why It’s a Perfect Fit
Miami head coach Mario Cristobal recently joined the ACC Network to chat about Beck and what makes him perfect for the Hurricanes.
“He looks great…(Carson) saw the opportunity to be able to be protected and play with sme really high-level skill players. So, it’s just a great marriage.”

Judging by Cristobal’s words, it appears as though the Hurricanes have a great situation with Beck coming into his own as the days move forward.
With a great offensive line and a talented skill position group, led by wide receiver Isaiah Horton, this offense has a chance to explode in the Fall.
Carson Beck Looking to Prove Doubters Wrong
While Beck does have two national championship rings, he earned those as a backup for Georgia when he was there. Now, he is 24-3 in his college career as a starting quarterback.
However, he is looking to stake his claim as a true champion by doing things his way. This opportunity with Miami is a great one for Beck for a multitude of reasons.
The ACC as a whole is a lot weaker than the likes of the Big Ten and the SEC, which is why the Hurricanes could make a run. Cristobal has a champion’s mentality and is a leader of men, which is something that this program has needed for some time.
Finally, the team is riding the hot hand after coming off a 10-win season thanks to the leadership and abilities of former quarterback Cam Ward.
Now, it is time for Beck to take the reins. If he can be a 3,000-yard passer and toss 25+ touchdowns like he has done multiple times in his career, look out for Miami.
