The late right-wing provocateur, Charlie Kirk, was a big Oregon Ducks fan, and as the team travels to Penn State, his political group, ‘Turning Point USA’, is planning to honor him by giving away free T-shirts. Those T-shirts will be the white “Freedom” shirt he wore when he was assassinated in Utah earlier this month.
GAME DAY TRIBUTE: Turning Point USA will honor Charlie Kirk at Saturday’s Oregon–Penn State game by giving away 5,000 “Freedom” T-shirts.

Kirk reportedly planned to attend the Oregon vs. Penn State game but was assassinated on Sept. 10. Fellow far-right media personality Benny Johnson revealed what they were planning during the “Will Cain Country” podcast:
“Turning Point USA, at the game of the week, Penn State versus the Oregon Ducks, this is going to be a massive game. This was a game that Charlie Kirk was going to attend. Charlie Kirk loves Oregon, but he also has a bunch of fans at Penn State and has done huge events there,” he said. “Turning Point USA is going to be handing out 5,000 Charlie Kirk freedom shirts at that game.”
Charlie Kirk’s organization, Turning Point USA, has now been taken over by his wife, Erika.

Penn State vs. Oregon Game Will Be Part of a Nittany Lions Tradition
As for the shirt, it is colored white, which coincides with Penn State’s “White Out” day for the game, where audiences are asked to wear white. It is a tradition that goes back 21 years, with this being the 21st “White Out” game at Beaver Stadium.
Every Nittany Lions fan has to wear white, so any Oregon fan choosing to honor the late far-right provocateur and wearing his “Freedom” shirt might be signaling that he is cheering for the opposing team, not Kirk’s favorite team.
The tradition started in 2004 when the Nittany Lions hosted the Purdue Boilermakers in 2007, with every Penn State fan wearing white at the game. It is noted for having over 100,000 fans, all in white, getting loud as they cheer Penn State on.
