The 2025 NFL Draft is now underway, with Round 1 taking place last night. 32 players saw their dreams become reality in the first round of the NFL Draft. However, there are still over 100 players left to be picked, and many more will see their dream come true this year, including tight end Harold Fannin Jr.
Fannin Jr. is coming off his best season yet with the Bowling Green Falcons. He picked up a career-high in catches and yards, with 117 catches and 1,555 yards, respectively. He has shown he can be a true playmaker wherever he may end up. So, what are the five landing spots for this record-setting tight end?

5 Potential NFL Draft Landing Spots For Harold Fannin Jr.
New York Jets
The New York Jets are in the market for a tight end since they lost Tyler Conklin to the Los Angeles Chargers via free agency. A playmaker tight end like Fannin Jr. could be exactly what they need as they look to continue to surround their new quarterback, Justin Fields, with some weapons.
While the Jets haven’t been able to develop players well, they have a brand new regime with new hopes and goals running the show now. Fannin Jr. could certainly find himself in New York by the end of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Chicago Bears
The Chicago Bears are looking to build around their young quarterback, Caleb Williams. Right now, they are without a real playmaker tight end. Fannin Jr. could be the dream pick for Ben Johnson as he would be a great weapon to surround Williams with, as they continue to build up their offense.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have Travis Kelce, they don’t need a tight end, right? Wrong. Kelce is approaching the end of his career, and finding his replacement now could be very beneficial for who that turns out to be. For Fannin Jr., learning under one of the greatest tight ends in history could truly help him pan out to be the next great tight end in the NFL.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, similarly to Kansas City, have a good tight end already. However, surrounding Baker Mayfield with more weapons couldn’t hurt at all. Fannin Jr. catching passes from Mayfield could truly help both Mayfield and the Buccaneers return to the playoffs.
For a team that already has some great pass-catchers in Chris Godwin and McMillan, Tampa’s addition of Fannin Jr. could truly elevate the team.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals are looking for weapons this offseason for Joe Burrow to help them get back into the playoffs. After re-signing Jamar Chase and Tee Higgins, adding Fannin Jr. into the fray could give Cincinnati a lethal over-the-middle playmaking trio.
Harold Fannin Jr. Scouting Report
Fannin Jr., who stands at 6 feet 3 inches and weighs 241 pounds, put up insane numbers for the Falcons in 2024. He had 117 catches for 1,555 yards and 10 touchdowns. He ended his college career with a 17-catch and 213-yard performance against Arkansas State in the 68 Ventures Bowl.
He had the sixth-fastest 40-yard dash time among tight ends with 4.71. There should be zero doubts about the competition. He had 19 catches on 27 targets for 282 yards and two touchdowns against Penn State and Texas A&M. He’ll be compared to Penn State’s Tyler Warren, but the value pick might be Fannin Jr.
Fannin is projected to be an immediate impact receiver at the next level who can create mismatches from multiple plays. His route-running prowess, reliable hands, and after-catch ability make him a valuable weapon in any modern NFL offense.
Despite his frame limiting his ceiling as a traditional inline tight end, his versatility and proven production against top competitions suggest he can thrive similarly to how the San Francisco 49ers play George Kittle and/or how the Baltimore Ravens use Mark Andrews.

In the right system, Fannin Jr. has the tools to develop into one of the game’s best receiving threats and one who can win against both safeties and linebackers. He can do all this while providing enough blocking utility to be an every-down player.
