Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman are two of the biggest names in track and field in the United States. The two sprinting stars have both won gold medals at either the Olympics or the World Championships. They are also in a relationship together. However, that relationship has seen its ups and downs.
On July 27, Richardson was arrested after assaulting Coleman at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. A video of the incident from the security footage was leaked and posted online.

Sha’Carri Richardson Publicly Apologized to Christian Coleman After the Domestic Violence Incident
Following her arrest, Sha’Carri Richardson publicly apologized to her boyfriend. She posted a written statement on Instagram.
“I love him & to him I can’t apologize enough,” Sha’Carri Richardson wrote.
She then added that her apology should be just as loud as her actions before writing that she loves Coleman and is sorry.
The incident came just a few days before Richardson competed in the first round of the 100-meter dash in the 2025 U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. She finished second in her heat, earning a spot in the semi-finals. However, she did not participate. She withdrew from the event following the news of the domestic violence incident going public.
While Sha’Carri Richardson and Christian Coleman were wrapped up in a domestic violence incident, it does not seem to have ended their relationship. They still appear to be together based on the video of them at the airport posted by TMZ.
