Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes’ dating rumors started in June 2023. Within a few months, their relationship was confirmed, and they’ve been going steady ever since. Skenes became a pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2024.
Dunne, on the other hand, retired from gymnastics after college and became a model and a social media influencer. She has been steadily building her online profile and has already collaborated with several major brands.
Recently, the two sat down with GQ Sports and asked each other questions. The segment included some light-hearted banter and at one point, Dunne even scolded Skenes, telling him to stick to the question.
“What was my first job ever?” Dunne asked her boyfriend.
Skenes’ best guesses were influencer or gymnast, which were wrong. He then went on to ask her if she ever had a real job before. But before he could get an answer out of her, Skenes moved on to another related question.
“Do you know what my first job ever was?” Skenes asked.
“This is about me right now,” Dunne responded.
Dunne revealed that her first job was as a coach, which she ended up quitting only after two weeks.
“It wasn’t my path. It wasn’t my calling. No points for you,” Dunne said.

Skenes’ next question to Dunne was about his biggest baseball hero. While Dunne did her best to guess that it might be Mike Trout, since he has admired his work for a long time, Skenes revealed that he never had a hero in baseball.
He did have people like Trout, whom he looked up to, but he wouldn’t go as far as labeling them as his heroes.
Fans Sensed a Lack of Chemistry Between Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes
The segment with GQ Sports was entertaining for those who like Dunne and Skenes. The questions were slightly personal, and they had a lot of back and forth while answering those questions. However, most fans weren’t happy with what they saw.
The post on Instagram has over 100 comments so far, and there’s an overwhelming number of fans who think that they don’t have any chemistry between them. Some fans even questioned if they knew each other at all.
“Together because they think each other is hot and their status,” a fan wrote.
“Had they ever met prior to this interview?” a fan wrote.
“I’ve seen less awkward job interviews,” a fan wrote.
“do they even like each other?” a fan wrote.
These are just some of the responses to the post. Most of them that aren’t mentioned here are more direct and question their relationship. Fans, at least those in the comment section of the post, believe that they’re more like strangers than a couple who have been together for years.
