Gunner Stockton is catching heat at halftime as Georgia struggles to find rhythm in a slow, uneven matchup against Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs are leading 13–3, but the performance from their quarterback has become the main talking point of the night.
Stockton has gone 4 of 10 for 36 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and the offense has looked disjointed for most of the first two quarters. Despite the lead, frustration is growing, and fans are coming out all guns blazing.
Stockton’s struggles have become a talking point on social platforms throughout the first half. Fans have turned on him quickly, calling out the lack of poise, missed throws, and inability to move the offense with any efficiency.

Georgia entered this rivalry game on a seven-game win streak and a 10–1 record. The Bulldogs have handled pressure well all season and positioned themselves for another postseason run. Tonight’s game was expected to be a manageable test for Stockton.
Instead, Georgia Tech has slowed the pace and limited big plays, forcing Stockton into uncomfortable situations from the start. The interception early in the half shifted momentum and helped keep the game tight, leaving the offense chasing consistency rather than taking control.

Does Gunner Stockton Have an Interception Problem?
The interception tonight adds to a growing concern that has followed Stockton this season. He entered the game with four interceptions through 11 games. While that number is not extreme, the timing of some of those turnovers has raised questions about his decision-making in tight games.
His touchdown production has remained steady with 19 passing scores before tonight, and his overall efficiency has been strong for most of the year. Still, nights like this highlight the inconsistency that keeps him out of the national spotlight compared to higher-profile quarterbacks.
Prior to the Georgia Tech game, his season stats look great. 2465 yards, 19 touchdowns, and just four interceptions. These numbers don’t reflect a problem he needs to address immediately. However, even with fewer interceptions, it’s the timing that makes things worse.
Georgia relies heavily on balance, and when the passing game sputters, the entire unit feels the impact. The Bulldogs still control the lead, but they need sharper quarterback play in the second half to avoid a late scare from Georgia Tech.
