“I do have grave concerns about where this is going and what’s going to happen even within our conference and even within the Power Four. Where, and how does this thing [evolve], and what do we turn into?” Woodward explained, via Brett McMurphy.
This statement was clearly a sentiment that is shared by fans of college football and college sports as a whole, with many fans wanting the sport to go back to the way it was prior to the NIL era.
Another response that was shared amongst the fans underneath the LSU AD’s statement was one fan calling for legendary former Alabama HC Nick Saban to try and “save” College Football.

Prior to Woodward’s comments, there were talks ongoing in the background for a College Sports Commission created by U.S. President Donald Trump that would potentially deal with the issues that the LSU Director was adamant plagued College Football, headlined supposedly by Nick Saban.
Although Saban is reportedly involved in the early stages of the project, he remained guarded when asked about it directly.
“To be honest with you, I don’t really know much about this commission. I don’t really know what the commission will do. I think we know what needs to be done; I just think we need to figure out who’s got the will to do it,” Saban said recently.

“I learned one thing about coaching all these years — when you get a subject like this that’s very complex, it’s probably good not to talk about it off the cuff,” Saban explained.
Despite growing behind-the-scenes activity, no official announcements or immediate plans have been revealed regarding the commission’s formation. At this point, Trump remains the only public figure who has directly acknowledged the effort.
