‘Graphics Are Next Level Terrible’ — Fans Torch EA Sports College Football 26 Trailer for Underwhelming Look

EA Sports has finally unveiled the official gameplay trailer for EA Sports College Football 26, igniting massive anticipation—and controversy—across the gaming community. After the successful revival of the franchise last year, fans were eager to see how the next installment would raise the bar for college football simulations.

The trailer promised big things: thousands of real college athletes, over 300 real-world coaches, revamped stadium atmospheres, and more than 2,700 new plays, all aiming to deliver the most authentic college football experience yet. Still, fans didn’t seem happy.

New College Football 26 Trailer Draws Major Fan Backlash

Despite all the hype about new features and deeper immersion, the new EA Sports College Football 26 trailer’s release didn’t as planned. Fans quickly flooded social media with complaints about the graphics and the lack of real gameplay, turning the trailer into a magnet for criticism.

The most common—and biting—complaint centered on the graphics. One fan bluntly stated, “The graphics are next level terrible,” a sentiment echoed by dozens of others who felt the visual leap from last year’s title was minimal at best.

Another frustrated viewer wrote, “No gameplay shown?” highlighting the trailer’s focus on cinematic shots and cutscenes rather than actual in-game action—a move that left many questioning what, if anything, had truly improved.

“Am I supposed to be blown away by this?” one fan asked, clearly disappointed that the trailer didn’t live up to all the hype.  Others poked fun at the game’s price, currently listed at $99.99 for the Deluxe Edition.

Beyond graphics, legacy issues also surfaced in the discussion. “I wonder if the dynasty mode is fixed? A ton of small bugs that weren’t addressed,” one fan wrote, referencing persistent problems from previous games that, according to them, have yet to be resolved.

Others poked fun at gameplay quirks, with one user sarcastically asking, “I wonder if players will be able to spin 17 yards again lol,” alluding to unrealistic animations that have plagued the series.

While the trailer did showcase new features like the enhanced Stadium Pulse system, authentic traditions, and expanded recruiting mechanics—including the iconic hat ceremony for college commitments—the negative buzz largely overshadowed these additions.

With hardly any real gameplay footage out there, fans are getting more and more skeptical about whether College Football 26 will actually live up to the hype. A lot of people just aren’t convinced it’s going to deliver that next-level experience they’ve been waiting for.

Now, with the July 10 release date approaching fast, EA Sports has its work cut out. They need to win back a passionate fanbase that’s tired of hearing about tradition and big promises—they want to see real improvements on the field.
