“Remember What Happened To Colorado State”: Fans React As Georgia Tech’s Clayton Powell-Lee Sends Bold Warning To Deion Sanders’ Colorado

Clayton Powell-Lee is not afraid of the Colorado Buffaloes. The Georgia Tech safety made his feelings abundantly clear at Monday’s press conference ahead of the Yellow Jackets’ season opener at Boulder this weekend.

When asked if he’s intimidated by the atmosphere Colorado brings to Folsom Field, Powell-Lee replied:

“I know they bring out celebrities, they do all this crazy stuff, but we’re playing football. Ain’t none of them playing. They could hype people all they want to but you’re on the field not them.”

While it might seem like a measured statement from the player, some fans didn’t take his words kindly, some considering it a challenge to Deion Sanders’ team.

“He were go remember what happened to Colorado st lmao,” wrote one fan remembering the 2023 row between Colorado schools.

“Awe yes because a question about the altitude and crowd makes you talk about the celebrities , hype and “crazy stuff,” said a fan who thinks the reporter was clearly referring to other kind of conditions at Folsom Field.

“Buddy had no reason to say allat,” complained another person.

“Deion gonna prove everyone wrong yet again,” proclaimed someone.

Others agreed with him that, compared to other venues, Folsom Field was mild by comparison.

“He’s right though. Fans aren’t playing, the players are. CPL has played at Ole Miss, at Georgia, at Miami and many more. He’s simply saying the atmosphere isn’t a big deal to him. It’s a football game,” explained someone.

“He said nothing that wasn’t true. It’s been a circus the last two years in Boulder! FACT,” claimed another person.
