Georgia Tight End Benjamin Yurosek Lands in Minnesota As UDFA After Draft Day Disappointment

The 2025 NFL Draft had only 257 picks across seven rounds. However, more athletes were eligible for the draft, but they were disappointed that no team picked them throughout the entire draft period.

Meanwhile, some prospects still had a chance as Undrafted Free Agents (UDFAs), which allowed them to sign with a new team. While this is like a second chance, there’s no guarantee every UDFA will make it.

Luckily for Georgia Tight End Benjamin Yurosek, he got his second chance. The Minnesota Vikings signed him, giving him a new opportunity to pursue his NFL dream.

Benjamin Yurosek Signs with Vikings as Undrafted Free Agent, Ready for a Fresh Start

Yurosek, who transferred to Georgia after three seasons at Stanford, faced a tough final college season. He managed only 185 receiving yards on 19 catches while playing behind Georgia’s star tight end, Oscar Delp. This setback badly hurt his chances of being drafted.

But the California native showed promise in the past. As a freshman, he had a strong season with 653 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 42 catches. Maybe that early success caught the attention of the Minnesota Vikings, who signed him as an undrafted free agent. Now, he gets a chance to prove himself at the professional level.

Standing at 6-foot-4, Yurosek brings size and strength to Minnesota’s tight end group. His ability to make plays after the catch and hold his ground in physical matchups could help him stand out as the Vikings look for depth behind star tight end T.J. Hockenson.

While his fall in the draft was surprising, Yurosek now has a golden opportunity to prove himself.
