So impressive was his performance that even after the exit of Carson Beck, fans are sure Stockton will effortlessly fill the void. He has played and learned as a backup over the past season and is now ready to step into the limelight. “Gunner Stockton threw far more yards than anybody in the college football playoff, including Will Howard, Drew Aller, against Notre Dame’s defense.” J.D. PicKell said, commenting on Stockton’s performance against Notre Dame.
“On top of that, he threw for almost as many yards as anybody else outside Jade in the Notre Dame secondary period,” PicKell continued.
