Ohio State Buckeyes receiver Jeremiah Smith is taking it to the bank with a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal estimated at $4 million.

Brandon Marshall Expresses Surprise of Jeremiah Smith’s NIL Value in a Recent Podcast
The “I AM ATHLETE” podcast featured Smith, Carnell Tate, and Emeka Egbuka, who all played for Ohio State.
Marshall asked Egbuka, who refused, so Marshall asked Smith instead about how much was in the bank.
Marshall said, “I want to see this NIL money. That’s crazy,” “Y’all make more money than half the receivers in the league. They probably hate y’all!”

He read the figure and showed Jeremiah Smith his own, and they both burst into laughter undercut by a certain level of awkwardness. “Yo! Jeremiah got more money than me!” exclaimed Brandon Marshall. “And I know that’s [just] one account!”
Smith has worked with several big-name brands, including Nintendo Epic Games, Red Bull, Lululemon, and American Eagle. In Sept. 2024, he signed an agreement with Red Bull.
On 3 Sports also reported that Smith had received offers to see him enter the transfer portal for deals ranging from $4.5-5 million.
Miami Hurricanes Are Rumored To Be Among Schools Vying for Smith
Due to Smith’s ties to Florida and his closeness to the University of Miami, speculation ran rampant that the Hurricanes were one of his suitors. They had already signed Carson Beck to their roster after Beck had left the Georgia Bulldogs. Beck was reportedly given $4 million, and the Hurricanes were rumored to offer Smith something in that range.
Smith is the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, even if he has played only one season and won the national title with the Buckeyes.
