Farmer rose to prominence in 2023, his third year at Tallahassee, playing in all 13 games and making a statement every time he stepped on the field. In a recent appearance on the “Up and Adams Show,” Kay Adams asked Farmer about the players he has his eyes on as he prepares for his future in the NFL.
“If you close your eyes and envision taking down an NFL quarterback, whos’ the first one that comes to mind,” Adams asked.
“Lamar Jackson,” Farmer replied. “He’s a Florida guy, he’s fast, and people say he’s hard to sack, so I definitely want to sack him.”

Whether he can sack Jackson remains to be seen, that said, Farmer is no slouch on the field and has displayed freakish athleticism. The Atlantic’s Bruce Feldman wrote of Farmer’s performance in 2023, saying.
“The 6’3″, 316-pound redshirt junior was a disruptive presence in the middle of the Noles’ dominant defense in 2023, recording 32 tackles, seven TFLs, and five sacks to go along with two quarterback hurries, two pass breakups and one forced fumble,” Feldman wrote.
“Farmer has gained over 50 pounds in his college career. This offseason, he clocked 19.6 MPH in pads, and he also cleaned almost 400 pounds, squatted over 600 pounds, and benched over 400. Even more impressively, he had a Nordbord score of over 2.3.”
Farmer rounded up his college football career with 80 tackles, 21.0 tackles for loss, 11.0 sacks, and one forced fumble. Analysts expect that Farmer will be a Day 2 pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft.
