The Florida Gators have added former Arkansas cornerback coach Deron Wilson to their staff in the same position. Wilson, who was briefly hired as Georgia State’s defensive coordinator before the season, takes over from Will Harris.

Staffing Complete for 2025 Season
Before his time at Georgia State, Wilson was with Arkansas for the 2023 and 2024 seasons as their cornerbacks coach. In 2023, he helped Arkansas achieve a strong pass defense, ranking fourth in the SEC with 202.8 yards allowed per game, good for 32nd nationally.
The Razorbacks also recorded 12 interceptions that year, ranking third in the SEC. However, Arkansas’ pass defense took a hit in 2024, allowing 246.9 yards per game and ranking 110th in the country.
