Several Washington Huskies players have already entered the transfer portal in the wake of HC Kalen DeBoer heading to Tuscaloosa to take the Alabama job. QB Will Rogers and CB Jabbar Muhammad are among the names looking for new homes for the 2024 season.
When a head coach leaves a program, there is a 30-day window in which players can enter the transfer portal. Until Washington signs a new head coach, more and more names will be rumored to be leaving.
5 Washington Players That Could Transfer
More names are expected to enter the transfer portal from Seattle, potentially leaving the roster that made the national championship game decimated by NFL Draft declarations and the portal.

The Huskies program will look very different in 2024, and there are signs that there will be more entrants to the transfer portal to come.
Here are some of the names to be on the watchlist.
Jeremiah Hunter, WR
Hunter only committed to Washington on December 29, 2023, after entering the transfer portal, and if he was a DeBoer recruit, he could use the 30-day window to explore other options. With QB Rogers already entering the portal, Hunter could look at the situation in Washington and look to go to a better one. Plus, WR coach JaMarcus Shephard could follow DeBoer to Alabama.
With one year of eligibility remaining, Hunter needs to make the most out of his final year in college. With 731 receiving yards and seven touchdowns with Cal in 2023, Hunter would gather significant interest if he were to reenter the portal.
Cam Davis, RB
Cam Davis was primed to play a key role with the Huskies in 2024 before suffering a season-ending lower-body injury in practice in August. Speaking to ESPN, DeBoer said Davis, “not only does a great job with the ball in his hands, but in pass protection, he knows everything inside and out.”
That skill set will certainly create interest in the transfer portal. 2024 will be Davis’s sixth season in college football, and after missing a season, it is one he will need to make count.
B.J. Green, EDGE
Green entered the transfer portal after an unbelievable season with Arizona State in 2023 and only committed to the Huskies in December 2023. In 2023, Green is credited with 39 total tackles, 11.5 for a loss, six sacks, and one forced fumble.
With his stock on the rise, Green is one of those players who could use the 30-day window to maximize his opportunity and will get interest from some of college football’s biggest programs.
Germie Bernard, WR
Bernard has plenty of potential, but his usage behind the elite room with Rome Odunze, Ja’Lynn Polk, and Jalen McMillan, only allowed him to play a bit part in 2023, getting 419 yards and two touchdowns.
He has already shown he is happy to move if the situation is right. He was a Washington commit in 2021 but flipped his commitment to Michigan State in 2022. He only had seven receptions for 128 yards and two touchdowns with the Spartans, and entered the transfer portal and transferred to Washington before the 2023 season.
Davon Banks, CB
Banks should have seen the field more in 2023, but an unfortunate shoulder injury ended his season after just two games. Despite that, Banks showed in his brief season that he is talented. With four pass breakups and four tackles in the two games, Banks is primed to show the world exactly what he can do in 2024.
Banks took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share his disappointment. Going into his fourth season in college, Banks needs to make it count now and doesn’t have much time to wait around.
