Calls for the firing of Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo started hitting the internet after the program’s College Football Playoff run came to a brutal end. On Thursday, the Bulldogs lost the game 39-34 against the Ole Miss Rebels, who lost their head coach Lane Kiffin just before the start of the playoffs.
Despite holding a 21-12 lead at halftime, Georgia allowed Ole Miss to put 20 on them in the final quarter to register a massive comeback victory. Georgia’s offense wasn’t efficient, especially in the second half of the game and the Rebels made them pay.
Fans pinned the blame for the loss on Smart and Bobo, both given the program’s shortcomings on offense in the game.
“Yeah man fire Kirby Smart and Mike Bobo right now,” one fan commented.

“I said it last year and I’ll keep on saying it: Kirby Smart’s biggest head coaching blunder was hiring Mike Bobo as OC. We have never and will never win a national championship with him calling the offense in big games,” one fan commented.
“thank you Kirby smart, and Mike Bobo for the worst coaching of any game in college football history. The most ignorant calls ever,” another fan said.
““Kirby Smart is being way too loyal to Mike Bobo” – Paul Finebaum,” one fan noted.
“Kirby Smart won’t win another National Championship while employing Mike Bobo. Full stop,” one fan added.
“Kirby loyalty to mediocre QBs and Mike Bobo will never have him winning another Natty ever again,” another reacted.
“Kirby Smart down fall is being loyal to mid quarterbacks and mike bobo,” another fan posted.

Ole Miss Took The Game Away Right Under the Nose of Kirby Smart in Second Half
The Rebels were behind by nine points, entering halftime against Georgia. Ole Miss quarterback connected on a huge 75-yard touchdown pass to De’Zhaun Stribling, early in the third quarter. A Georgia field goal before the third quarter ended made the game 24-19.
Chambliss threw multiple key passes and orchestrated two high-tempo touchdown drives in the fourth quarter that put Ole Miss ahead. Ole Miss scored 20 of the final 30 points, including a game-cutting field goal with just six seconds remaining to cap the comeback.
The Rebels’ defense also stepped up in the crucial time as they knocked off the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs out of the playoffs.
