Ahead of their Week 2 game against the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins fans are already ready to turn their back on general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel. After missing the playoffs last season, Miami lost its season opener to the Indianapolis Colts in a disappointing manner, 33-8.
On Sunday, just outside of Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, a fan flew a plane, tying it with a banner, saying:
“Fire Grier, Fire McDaniel.”
Barstool Sports’ Nicky Smokes wants to shake hands with the fan who did this. He wrote:
“To the man or woman, who bought the “Fire Grier, Fire McDaniel” banner I want to shake your hand.”

Fans in the comments section agreed with the sentiments as they have grown up fed up of the franchise constantly losing despite having a stacked roster.
“Greer will not be fired until the Brian floor has lawsuit is finished,” one fan commented.
“Greir need to go for sure bro, cause why haven’t he gotten tua an O-line 😒💯💯” another commented.
“Nicky thoughts on Achane today… need some good moral,” another fan wrote.
“Nick, why’s it flying over the stadium an hour and a half before kickoff. This thing better fly over Hard Rock during the game,” another wrote.
“Now all we need to make this happen,” one fan said.
“The fans coming together as a team to accomplish a goal more than the actual team SMH,” one fan added.
Mike McDaniel shares thoughts on mounting pressure after lopsided Week 1 loss
Mike McDaniel’s defense was all over the place in the Week 1 game against the Colts. They allowed scores on all seven of the Colts’ offensive possessions. Offensively, Miami was held to just 211 total yards. It was their lowest offensive output under McDaniel in a full game with Tua Tagovailoa starting.
Ahead of his Week 2 game, McDaniel acknowledges the pressure that comes along with the job.
“I don’t see this job void of pressure,” McDaniel said. “I don’t see entitlement in this job, but I think the most important thing is that I worry about doing my job. I think that’s what the team will get from me, for sure.”
It remains to be seen if Miami can win their Week 2 game and shut the mouth of fans who are after McDaniel’s job.
