    Nau’Jour Grainger, better known to music fans as Toosii, has officially committed to play football at Syracuse University. The 25-year-old rapper made the announcement on social media this Monday.

    This news naturally got a lot of fans on X talking about the rapper’s sudden career change, as they trolled the rapper mostly due to his age and the bizarre nature of this news:

    “25 year old freshman”, wrote a fan.

    “25 year old fallen off rapper now going to play D1 college football? This is good album promo”, stated a fan.

    “Yall sayin the ni**a age like it ain’t college ret**ds”, said a fan.

    “Dawg this gotta be a joke”, remarked a fan.

    “Idk how dis possible buhh shii lowkey tuff ash”, commented a fan.

    “He saw that NIL money bigger than his rapper checks”, stated another fan.

    “Hopefully he’s better at football than making music”, remarked another fan.

    “ACC continues to be unserious”, commented another fan.

    This past summer, Grainger revealed that he was putting his music career on pause to pursue football, and since then, he’s been practicing at NC State’s facility in Raleigh.

    Grainger Posts Emotional Commitment Announcement On X

    In his commitment announcement on X, Grainger got emotional about what this opportunity means to him. He thanked God first and foremost, whilst also acknowledging everyone who supported him along the way.

    When Syracuse head coach Fran Brown reached out to him, Grainger took it as a sign from above.

    “When Coach Fran called, I knew it was a sign from God. So with that being said, Cuse I’m coming home”, Grainger wrote on X

     

    Grainger was born in Syracuse before his family moved to North Carolina when he was 12 years old.

    With 3.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify and multiple platinum records under his belt, his list of releases includes hits like ‘Favorite Song’, ‘Love Hurts’, and ‘Pull Up’, which have racked up millions of streams. He also recently dropped a new single called ‘Even Then’ just last month.
