Cleveland Brown rookie Shedeur Sanders is trying to prove doubters wrong and looking to secure one of the three likely spots for the quarterback on the final roster. After taking a drop from potential first round selection to fifth round at No. 144, Sanders is giving his best at the ongoing training camp in Berea, Ohio.
On Wednesday, Browns uploaded a video on X in which Sanders is making a play. He snatches the ball from center and nailed the throw on the edge to a receiver who had a clear vision to run.
“sheesh Shedeur 😳” the post was captioned.

This prompted all kinds of reactions from fans. While some compared him to Tom Brady, some don’t think he deserves to be in the final roster.
“We are looking at the next tom Brady! That accuracy is wild 🎯” one fan wrote.
However, one fan had a complete opposite thought.
“EVERYONE looks good in practice…just saying. Wait until that defense is coming at him FOR REAL and see if you’re still amazed,” one fan posted.
Here are some more reactions:
“That’s a pick against the 1st team unfortunately” one fan called out the play.
“Sheesh is overdoing it . Don’t start this early,” another added.
“If @ShedeurSanders starts I’m getting the @NFL package this season!!!! #OnGod,” one fan said.
“Look at that ball placement…wow,” another commented.

NFL Insider Predicts Shedeur Sanders is Safe From Waivers
NFL insider Jonathan Jones has predicted that either of the rookies Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are safe from being waived.
Jones thinks the Browns won’t risk exposing rookies by placing them on the practice squad. This means that if one of the four QB spots is not there on the final roster, the name that will be cut will likely be a veteran, meaning either of Kenny Pickett or Joe Flacco.
“If Dillon Gabriel wins the battle against Shedeur Sanders in the battle of the rookies, I actually don’t see Shedeur Sanders going to the practice squad,” Jones said. “If Shedeur Sanders beats Dillon Gabriel, I don’t see Dillon Gabriel going to the practice squad. And I also don’t see the Cleveland Browns keeping four quarterbacks on their 53-man roster.
“Well, who goes? The answer to that is whoever is the loser of Joe Flacco versus Kenny Pickett. Andrew Berry, the general manager of the Cleveland Browns, he loathes cutting his draft picks. This is a team that always holds on to its draft picks far more than average NFL team.”
Training camp will decisively shape their 53-man roster, and having four QBs seems unlikely. It remains to be seen who among Kenny Pickett, Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders will be cut off from the final roster.
